Please take a look at the below example describing the specific issue with how PDF's inserted into OneNote using the 'Send to Onenote Printer' have some issue with render quality.
It has occurred to me a couple of times. The file (PDF) was made in illustrator with dwg imported from Rhino. When viewed from Acrobat it looks fine, but some lines were missing when printed out, even from different printers. Print the final outcome to a new pdf file, six pages per sheet, with 'print page border' unchecked. You will have your original slides on the left and those lines on the right. May need to try a few times to get it right. Edit: to create the lines with uniform spacing, may use a plain table with side borders removed. Follow these steps in Adobe Acrobat or Reader to print PDF comments, print in-place comments in PDF, print pop-up comments in PDF, print all comments in PDF, print a list of comments in PDF, print a summary of comments in your PDF. Oct 07, 2016 Hi, I have a big problem with printing in Adobe Acrobat DC. The PDF file looks perfect in the reader. But when I print it, several lines are replaced.
Printing the PDF with the Sticky Notes. To print the document, choose FilePrint. Before clicking the Print button, ensure that you are printing the PDF with the Document and Markups setting: Acrobat will show you a preview of the page as it will print. Sometimes, the printed view of the note might not show all of the text in the note. Note: A quick side note before you print your slides with your speaker notes If you are distributing your slides (with or without speaker notes) to other people, I HIGHLY recommend customizing your slide handouts first with your company information on the Handout Master before printing them.
This happens with all types of PDF's in my experience over the past year.
It is not the PDF document that is the issue, because if you zoom in 200% the inserted image in OneNote does ultimately render in very high resolution/quality (sometimes it takes a while ~10sec to render properly)
..this means that the data for high resolution is there in the onenote page, the problem is when you zoom out it gets all pixelated.
Can't Print Pdf Files Windows 10
See the image below. The weird thing is that if you screen clip the PDF page (or convert it into a JPEG) and drop it into OneNote this rendering issue doesn't happen (i.e. the document retains its quality at lower zooms e.g. 90%). Only the pages from a PDF that have been virtually printed to OneNote using the 'Send to OneNote' printer exhibit this poor quality rendering in lower zoom.
Obviously it is unpractical to have to screen clip every page of a PDF to be able to mark it up..and the data for high resolution is there.
..this is why I think there must be a relatively easy fix to this.
This has been a very frustrating issue; Thanks for your help.
Sticky Notes are probably the most common method used to add notes and comments to PDF documents.
To add a Sticky Note, simply right-click anywhere on the page and choose Add Sticky Note. A sticky note will appear and you can add text to it easily.
Sticky notes can be minimized so that they don’t cover up your document, or left open so you can see the text inside:
One frequent question I get is how to print pages with the contents of the sticky note showing.
In this article, you’ll discover how to print a document with the sticky notes showing in Acrobat.
Set a Preference to Print Sticky Notes
Acrobat does not normally print sticky notes. You’ll need to change a preference to enable printing of notes.
Choose Edit> Preferences and click on the Commenting category.
A) Choose the Segoe UI font matches print output better
B) Optional: Set Pop-up Opacity to 100%
C) Enable Print Notes and Comments
D) Disable pop-up scrolling (Makes it easier to position notes)
B) Optional: Set Pop-up Opacity to 100%
C) Enable Print Notes and Comments
D) Disable pop-up scrolling (Makes it easier to position notes)
What is Pop-up Opacity? By default, Sticky Notes have a transparency of 85%. Viewed on screen or in print, the page beneath the sticky note will be visible. If you prefer on-screen and printed notes to have a solid white background, you can change it to 100%. |
Positioning the Sticky Notes for Print
Acrobat does not provide a 1 to 1 correspondence between the appearance of sticky notes on-screen and your printed output.
I had best results with my document viewed at 75%.
You will need to spend some time positioning the Sticky Notes where you want them to print.
Printing the PDF with the Sticky Notes
To print the document, choose File>Print.
Before clicking the Print button, ensure that you are printing the PDF with the Document and Markups setting:
Acrobat will show you a preview of the page as it will print. Sometimes, the printed view of the note might not show all of the text in the note. If that is the case, you will see a small black symbol on the corner of the note in the preview window.
What does it look like when printed?
Here’s an example below:
What about Adobe Reader? Adobe Reader does not provide a way to print the contents of sticky notes. Sorry, you will need at least Acrobat Standard. |
